about

Inspired by both my job and a monologue by Peter Finch in the movie NETWORK. I grew frustrated with my line of work (not music) and how in general things were looking with the US Economy. I grew very passionate and empathetic towards people facing the housing crisis... so I had to speak on it in the only view I really knew and that was my own experiences. This was the first video I did with Sean Babas and it's included with this album!

lyrics

I don't have to tell you things are bad
you know things are bad, this is a recession
look it people are afraid of losing their jobs some people don't have jobs
no money for the food
no money for the roof over our heads
people ask me
Anthm How did it get this way?
Why is it this way?
I got one word for you.... GREED

I'm watching the economy fall like I seen it coming
lemmings to the cliff tops full speed off and running
you wondering how we got where we at?
money rules the world and don't it all feel like a trap?!
think back
I don't know when you bit the line
only know mine started in 19-99
student credit card no co-sign
they were feeding off kids JC's a gold mine
it didn't hurt that most didn't know basic math
if you made it past algebra a raise of hands
yea add it up and see a simple plan
a customer that understands is a sale gone bad
the game is simply built off that
war on the masses financial combat
to show all the snakes you must first cut the grass
understand that before you sign a contract cause we...

trapped in a box
somethings'll never change
shackled in chains freedom never ever sang
going in circles everyday you feel the same
gasoline in my hand I hope they see the flames cause we
trapped in a box
and somethings'll never change
shackled in chains freedom never ever sang
going in circles everyday feels the same
gasoline in my hand I hope they see the flames

the unemployment rate match the early 80's
you know when crack was on the rise
and urban combat blew up daily?
then I was just a baby
a grown man now I keep my eyes open to the state of things lately
crazy a young father said can't make the bread to buy the bread
I'll have to go outside and rob instead
survival of the fittest out here at least his sons are fed
get it however he can probly end up dead
and I get that
make me have to sit back think about the set backs
yea I wanna click clack
hell yea I understand the thinking
like the sands in the hour glass our ass is quickly sinking
hey Mr.Governor and Mr.President
ain't it evident the pressures been destroying our residence?
even the homes on the hills have gone up in blaze
we all lost the game
why don't you show us who's to blame cause we...

trapped in a box
somethings'll never change
shackled in chains freedom never ever sang
going in circles everyday you feel the same
gasoline in my hand I hope they see the flames cause we
